Our friends at the Mid-Hudson Valley Linux user group is having a special event on July 11th. Their Mad Science Fair will be a great show-and-tell focused on Open Hardware and physical computing. To show our support, Squidwrench will be working to get people started on physical computing projects of their own. This event will be the big kick off, so if you already play with physical computing or would like to get started, this is the place for you.

The plan is to start with lunch, introductions, and conversations, then get started on the actual real work. We will be helping anyone new to Arduino get their environment set up, so their is no prerequisite for knowledge or skill. There will be plenty of exchange of ideas and information and anyone with experience to share should come out, too.

The event is at a private residence, so please contact me for the details about the location. The event will start with a lunch barbecue, so if you'd like to eat let me know what you'd like to bring.
