Cryptoparty

Cryptoparties are free, public events to equip individuals with the knowledge and tools to secure their data and communications. This time we're changing it up a bit! This go we're making it a real party with a table for each of your needs, such as Tor, PGP, OTR and plenty of socializing! Also, we'll have an encrypted chat with Cryptoparty NYC: Harlem where we will be discussing a few topics and testing out Jitsi, a Jabber chat client with voice and video options! Bring: Your laptops, your smartphones, snacks and drinks.

Cryptoparty is a grassroots movement to educate people about how to communicate privately and securely. There will be moderated discussion and Q & A as well as guidance setting up basic cryptography tools (e.g. OTR for secure instant messaging), so bring your laptop and/or smartphone! Cryptoparties are open to the public and free to attend. RSVP appreciated but not required.
