Details

Join us this Wednesday!

Have you ever wondered how is the process of raising money for a startup? How long does it take? What are the usual terms offered by investors? What are the common pitfalls to avoid?

Learn from the practical experience of these entrepreneurs that have raised money from incubators, angel investors and VCs:

Mariano Kostelec is co-founder of Uniplaces (http://www.uniplaces.com (http://www.uniplaces.com/)),
an online platform that connects students with landlords in an easy
and efficient way. Uniplaces is a Start-Up Chile round 3 participant
and while in the program it secured a 200K euros seed round from top
European angel investors.

Nico Orellana is co-founder of Welcu (http://www.welcu.com (http://www.welcu.com/)), the best way to manage high-end, unique events. After being incubated by 500 Startups accelerator, Welcu raised over 600k USD. It was the first Latin America startup that received an investment from Eric Schmidt's fund (ex Google CEO) Tomorrow Ventures.

Alex Torrenegra is a serial entrepreneur and winner of the Colombia TR35 "Innovator of the Year" award from MIT's Technology Review. He has co-founded several successful startups, including VoiceBunny.com, BookingMarkets.com, Voice123.com, WeHostels.com, HubBOG, etc. Alex is also a partner of Torrenegra Labs, an incubator and fund for online marketplaces, which was named one of the top immigrant owned startups in the US by Forbes Magazine.
