The Local Entrepreneur.

Join StartupSB at Local Market Launch to learn about current and future resources for Startups and Entrepreneurs in Santa Barbara!

Interact with community members that are building and supporting the entrepreneurial scene in Santa Barbara!

The event will include businesses, service providers, educational institutions, event organizers and champions, leaders of meetup groups, coworking spaces and hackerspaces giving their own "Pitch" on how they can help support our local entrepreneurs and startups!

It will be a rapid-fire event with each organization talking 3 minutes to let you know what they are up to, where they are going in the future, and how they support our Startup Community.

There will be plenty of Beer and Pizza too!

We’ll also be giving away a few passes for Startup Weekend Startup Weekend (Nov 15, 16 & 17)!  So bring your ideas for a quick 60 second pitch competition.

The event will be the first StartupSB with a ticket price.  Tickets are $15.
Note: This is our first paid event, and we are moving to paid events for 2014.

We'll be adding more Speakers daily, so let us know if you are interested in talking about your organization, meetup, or entrepreneurial resource.

Should be a great event!

It was very enjoyable. The only modification I might make are comments of wanting 'young' entrepreneurs. Even though I have seen bias towards the young by investors, I remain positive that I even though I am not 30, I can attract investment. I haven't had a car for 3 1/2 years, so I know I can physically keep up with 30 year olds; and I finished a law degree 5 years ago, so I know my mind still works. So, some sensitivity that some entrepreneurs might not be young by society's standards, but still deserve equal treatment, would be nice. thanks

I'm offering free access to our cloud-based BizPlanBuilder business planning system -- it embodies all of the lean startup concepts and has helped hundreds of thousand of entrepreneurs to raise capital. I'm looking for feedback on the cloud-based system. I started the company in Silicon Valley and have recently moved back to SB... Looking to join in on the startup fun here!

Kyle, Women's Economic Ventures would be interested in speaking about the services we provide to entrepreneurs - training courses, long-term 1 on 1 consulting, and loans to businesses that don't qualify for traditional lending. Let me know if you have a moment to talk more about the event. Direct line:[masked]
