What we’re about
Let's explore St. Louis together to learn about how Asians have influenced, and continue to influence, St. Louis and call it home! Our events welcome both people with and without Asian descent unless specified.
We hope to see:
- All stories of Asians in America tied into the larger community of Asian America
- Exposure and impact of the racial history of Asians in America
- A deeper desire for liberation in our community and others
- Ultimately, a greater sense of joy in our lived experiences to just freely be in St. Louis.
Events include hosting community speakers, restaurant hunting, bar hopping, game nights, and community service, and more. If there are things you want to try, shoot us a message, and we can make it an event! To stay informed about our events, subscribe to our newsletter at https://stlpac.wixsite.com/stlpac.

unPAC'ing Ourselves & Society: A Discussion About "Class"
St. Louis Public Library- Central Library, 1301 Olive Street, Saint Louis, MO, US**Location: Central Library, room 2.6 (1301 Olive Street)
It is located 0.4 miles from the Civic Transit Center and available via the #73, #70, and #10 bus with transfers.
This is a 3-part series for Asian Americans. We aim to host challenging and introspective conversations that help push towards personal growth. Conversations will also be paired with advocacy opportunities to try as a group!
The current series will begin with the topic of "class." For example, what is it? What is your relationship with it? And, why do we feel so uncomfortable talking about it? The series will be broken down into 3 events:
Part 1: (Sat, Jan 10) Discussion group processing our understanding of class
Part 2: (During January & February) Participate in activism opportunities challenging class systems. You should pick at least 1 opportunity to try. A facilitator will be at each opportunity.
Part 3: (Saturday, Feb 21) Reflection discussion group about what we've learned and what we've done
Due to the structure of the series, we ask participants to commit to all three parts of a series since they build on each other. There will be homework before and after each meet-up as well.
If you plan to participate, please complete the following before Jan 10th:
- Ask yourself and try to answer the question, "What is my social class?"
- Read: Income inequality is greater among Chinese Americans than any other Asian origin group in the U.S
- Read: The Asian American Middle Class
We will have 30 minutes of free time at the end to just hang out! Snacks will be provided!

unPAC'ing Ourselves & Society, Part 3: Reflections
Central Library, 1301 Olive Street, St. Louis, MO, US**Location: Central Library, room 2.6 (1301 Olive Street)
This is Part 3 in our series about "class," a series created for Asian Americans. We will be reflecting on all we've learned, experienced, and process everything as a group. Previously, we talked about our relationship to class, why talking about it makes us comfortable, and how class intersects with our Asian identity. We also participate in activism opportunities challenging class systems.
At the end of our reflections, the work does not stop. Continue to ask yourself: "How can I advocate for other people or challenge class systems?" We encourage the following readings to help continue the journey:
- 7 Labor Activists You Should Know About for Asian Pacific American Heritage Month
- Key facts about Asian Americans living in poverty
We will have 30 minutes of free time at the end to just hang out! Snacks will be provided!
