Roger Quinlan, SAP

Roger Quinlan is currently the National Vice President of Consulting Services for the Western third of the US. He has full P&L responsibility for all Consulting operations as well as responsibility for Customer Satisfaction for over 1,000 companies in this region. He also serves as the Executive Sponsor for SAP’s Community Outreach program, directing SAP’s charitable giving and volunteer activities for the region.

Mr. Quinlan most recently held the position of Sr. Vice President and General Manager for SAP’s Western Region. His previous roles at SAP date back to 1997 and include: Sr. Vice President of Strategic Applications & Platform Technologies, Vice President of Sales, Sales Director, Sales Manager and account executive. His previous employment includes sales and sales management roles at hardware, software and consulting firms, mainly focusing on technology companies and higher education.

Mr. Quinlan has been a Board Member of The Tech Museum of Innovation since 2008, where he focuses on developing corporate relationships and The Tech Challenge. He is in his second term as Board Secretary.

Mr. Quinlan has a BA in Political Science from the University of Arizona with a minor in programming and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. As a 5th generation native of the Bay Area, he lives in Los Altos, California, with his wife of 21 years and 3 children.

Carl Orthlieb, VP of Engineering, Appcelerator

Carl leads the development of Appcelerator’s integrated mobile platform, including Titanium, Titanium Studio, and Appcelerator cloud and analytics products. Carl has 25 years of experience in software development engineering for mobile, desktop, enterprise and SaaS solutions. Prior to Appcelerator, Carl was Vice President of Engineering, Product Portfolio Management at CA Technologies, and Director of Engineering at Pure Digital Technologies. He also served as Ariba’s Vice President of Applications Engineering, and as Adobe’s Senior Director of Server Engineering and Director of Acrobat Engineering. Carl has a Bachelor’s of Applied Science in Systems Design from the University of Waterloo, and has completed advanced courses in project management and computer science at UC Berkeley and Stanford University.

Michael Fairchild, Director of The AT&T Foundry

Michael focuses on innovation and products at the Palo Alto AT&T Foundry, bringing new startups and new technologists together with business, developers and users in the form of new products and platforms.

Michael studied physics at UCLA, and then spent time building beowulf computer clusters. Michael spent time building out several business web applications deployed to the cloud, then joined the R&D department at AT&T Interactive to work on distributed systems and cloud orchestration software, before joining the platform services group at AT&T Interactive. Michael left AT&T Interactive to open the Palo Alto AT&T Foundry, where he works now.

Rob Lister, Director of Design, The AT&T Foundry

As a business leader, Rob acts as Director of Design, and Director of Enterprise projects for AT&T's flagship innovation center, The Foundry, and managed IDEO's medical products group overseeing dozens of innovative projects, including developing and delivering a device strategy for a major global pharmaceutical company that supports 50% of their entire pipeline.

Rob has overseen, managed and implemented dozens of development programs for a wide range of industries including telecommunications, financial services, medical devices, food & beverage and fashion. He holds two US Patents for products used in the healthcare industry. Rob has a BEng (Hons), Engineering and Design from Brunel University, West London, England.
