The data from the Fitbit Tracker is wirelessly uploaded to our web site, where users can view and interact with their data and share with others via an interactive dash board. The Aria scale is a recent addition to our product line that wirelessly uploads weight, BMI, and fat percentage to our interactive website, providing users with a comprehensive health and fitness program.

We are building a world-class hardware engineering team and are looking for a senior Firmware Engineer who can play a critical role in leading embedded firmware development for our hardware products. You'll be working closely with website/desktop software engineers and electrical engineers to bring our consumer electronics products to market.

Required experience. All experience must be demonstrated via shipping products and not via personal research.

At least 5+ years experience writing firmware for shipping products.
Experience writing ultra low-power and low footprint applications. Our devices have tiny capacity batteries and must last weeks to months between charges. Our app sizes are < 100K with < 16K of RAM usage.
ARM Or MSP430 or comparable micro-controller experience
Ability to debug firmware by diving into the hardware (probing, measuring, etc)
Experience with embedded Kernels/RTOS
Experience with sensors or sensor sampling, such as accelerometers
RF programming experience in Bluetooth (CSR, ST, TI, Broadcom, etc), ANT (Nordic) or Zigbee
This position is located at Fitbit headquarters in San Francisco, CA.
