Swift London | Beginner Workshop

WELCOME TO THE WORKSHOP

We're happy to announce our very first free Swift workshop, kindly run by Amsys (http://www.amsys.co.uk/training/iphone-ios/), an Apple Authorised Training Centre who have been developing a range of beginner to advanced Swift courses here in London.

This is a beginner workshop, though others may benefit from a recap. It comes in two parts.

This Workshop: An introductory 1 hr presentation with demos, covering a lot of introductory ground (memory sticks with the presentation provided).

Next Workshop: A "follow me" style evening with step-by-step instructions to create a basic app (memory sticks with the docs provided).

Places are limited by room size, but if this goes well we hope to run it monthly.

Doors open at 6.30pm, and we start at 7pm.

WHAT TO BRING

Handy, but not essential: a MacBook with the latest Mac App Store version of Xcode installed (developer account not required, though useful - a direct download link is here (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/xcode/id497799835?ls=1&mt=12)). This becomes essential for the next workshop.

Please feel free to come down early, grab a cup of tea or coffee and say hello to each other. The workshop starts promptly at 7pm.

The best discussions usually happen in the pub afterwards, even on a Monday. All welcome, if you gather outside the venue we'll walk you over.
