Hi Atlassian Automaters!

What a fantastic first event we had at ServiceRocket last month. With over 60 people showing up, a couple of great talks washed down with some great food and drink, what a night!

A hard act to follow I know, however, we've got none other than Nicholas Tan (https://au.linkedin.com/in/nicholastan1) - Chief Architect - Infrastructure & Cloud , and Lars Joergensen - Cloud Architect - Online & Performance Engineering at News Corp (http://www.newscorpaustralia.com/) coming down this month to share some of their Atlassian story.

Does it get much better than that?!

Speaker 1: Nick Tan & LarsJoergensen - Cloud Architects, News Ltd

Topic: "Accelerating Delivery @ News - under the hood of a 5 min deployment toolchain"

Speaker 2: Greg Baker - Consultant, author, and ex-Google SRE

Greg Baker is a consultant and author whose clients include Australian Federal Parliament, Atlassian, Optiver, Macquarie Bank and numerous other famous Australian companies. In the past he worked at Google in Zurich in their SRE team, at CSIRO (on the team that developed wifi)... and before that as a pipe organ builder's apprentice. He lives in Sydney with his wife, two children and a menagerie of domestic robots.

Topic: "How to avoid getting lumped with the tickets that take forever to resolve?"

"Why I started researching Jira tickets, and why I wrote AEED (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/au.org.ifost.aae)

When the geeks are taking too long to respond

How tickets can end up far, far away from home

Who knows Dr Robin Dunbar, and why is she relevant?

I, for one, welcome our new robot overlordsWhat happened next

Even just mentioning "MANAGEMENT" causes things to take longer

Drumroll... what else predicts a sluggish resolution?"

Intrigued?!

It will definitely be a busy gig, so I'd get the RSVPs in PDQ,

If you're also interested in giving a talk, or getting involved with group sponsorship, please get in touch!

Stephen

PS I've you've not yet got your ticket for the Sydney Devops Training Event (http://devopsdan.com/), hop in.
