From Legacy to Symfony - the worst case scenario

Details
Legacy applications are still here and it doesn't look like they are going to disappear anytime soon. In many situations there are moments when companies want to jump to the "new stuff". Not all of them can afford to freeze the feature development to do it. However, there is still a way to gradually introduce latest standards and transform a legacy application, step by step. Using Symfony can make this process even easier.
Marcin Sękalski (https://twitter.com/__senkal) has been working with PHP for around 7 years, 5 of which with Symfony. He loves the "test first approach" and agile methodologies. In his code he follows the SOLID principles as much as possible. Big open source and Linux fan. In his free time looks at Qt and the mobile industry.
