Hello members of RP 340. Because there is more than one Ron Paul group locally, and there are benefits to merging them for communication purposes, this particular meet up group has been renamed and given a new purpose.

The purpose of this new group is to provide information on an alternative pro-freedom project that deserves special attention, namely, the mission of promoting the principle that "property rights are moral absolutes." That can only truly be expressed in a tax-free society.

Every pro-freedom goal requires a moral justification otherwise it is attacked as (right-wing) extremism. Moral values transcend political labels and thus the advancement of a free society can only be done within a moral framework and message.

We know that a free society is a moral and practical society, one that does not run into skyrocketing deficits, busted economies, or social strife created by redistributing and crushing one person's rights and opportunities to the benefit of others. Stealing occurs at all levels of our society: welfare, corporatism, shop-lifting, inflation, foreign aid, bank robbery, looting, car-jacking, mugging, and general thuggery.

If the principle that "property right are moral absolutes" were widely known, used, taught, and referred to, as baseball, apple pie, and American Idol, people would quickly realize how much government policy is wrong, that must change, and that it is a moral enterprise to change it. Supporters would be banging the doors down to help save freedom. This group will be the Johnny Appleseed turning freedom's moral seedlings hard-core supporters. It is the only way to stop Obama's socialism now, or reverse it in the future.

A Tax-Free Society is a long-term ideal. The right doesn't presently have a true ideal. The "birther" movement is just an example of people wanting to stop Obama, but they lack a moral principle to stop his policies. That is what America needs most. Scandal mongering, looking for Obama's version of a blue dress, is a waste of energy compared to confronting socialism head-on with the power of our will to live and our right to enjoy our lives in a free society. That has the moral depth that, as our founders realized, can change everything quickly.

This new group is not in any way endorsed by the Ron Paul activists, though many might sympathize with it. I hope you do and choose to remain a member of this group.
