Doctor Who Meetup is moving to the Parkway Theater in January

Happy Cold Wet Stuff Season, Twin Cities Whovians!
As you might have noticed over the past three years, our current venue, the cozy Merlin's Rest, has gotten a touch crowded.  We've kicked around solutions to this for a long while - more meetups (but who has the time??? Not to mention that Merlin's has other bookings) larger venues (but who has the money???) even finding an outdoor space (did you forget we're in Minnesota???)

At last, a solution has landed. So many of us enjoyed our experience at the Parkway and the good folks at Parkway (hi Earl!) enjoyed us so much that it's kismet: the Twin Cities Doctor Who meetup is moving to the Parkway.

We will continue to have meetup on the third Saturday of the month. Because of other bookings at the Parkway, meetup will begin at 3 pm - for those of you who like an early lunch, Pepito's, the adjoining restaurant, offers a lunch buffet that runs from noon to 3 pm. Admission to the meetup screening will always be free. So the next Christmas special, or January tradition, happens at the Parkway.

For those of you shrieking "no!!! Merlin's!" there's still some good news for you: Tracie from Merlin's Rest management says that she intends to continue Doctor Who events at Merlin's Rest as a Merlin's event. You'll need to watch the Merlin's calendar or ask Tracie for further details. There are at least four Doctor Who fan groups in the Twin Cities - plenty of room for us all!
There's a chance I will be unable to make this last Merlin's Rest official meetup because Mike  (the tech guy) and I are closing on a new home, so let me take this opportunity to wish happy holidays to those who see them as happy, extoll condolences to those who do not and to say I look forward to seeing you at the Parkway on January 19, 2013.

Setting my TARDIS coordinates (OK, Google calendar) now -
