We're excited to present Toronto's 1st Annual Timmy Awards (http://blogs.techinmotionevents.com/to-timmy-awards/) in an effort to recognize the best places for technology professionals to work. We asked the Toronto tech community to weigh in by nominating companies they believe deserve to win and then voting for the finalists!

Organizations and individuals will be crowned the winners in each of the categories below on August 18th. The evening will begin with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, music and product demos from the best of the best in Toronto tech.

• Host - Daniel Eidan: General Manager of BrainStation

Daniel Eidan is BrainStation Toronto's General Manager. He graduated from UofT with a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics where he studied and did research with professors such as Allan Borodin, Stephen Cook and Geoffry Hinton. Since then he has worked as a full stack and mobile developer on numerous projects. He moved from a Product Architect role into the General Management position to oversee more components of the BrainStation campus.

• Presenter - Raine Qian: Head of Product Design at VarageSale

Raine is the head of product design at VarageSale. She is an award-winning designer who has led product design projects across diverse industry verticals including retail, media, finance, lifestyle and healthcare. In addition, she is a frequent speaker on product design and the former organizer of Future With Design, an event series for forward thinking designers and individuals.

• Presenter - Razor Suleman: Founder & Former CEO of Achievers

Razor is the Founder & former CEO of Achievers, a leading provider of SaaS based rewards and recognition programs. Razor built Achievers from an idea to a company with a $100M run rate. Under Razor's leadership, Achievers has raised over US$35 million in venture capital from leading firms including Sequoia Capital.
