UPTECH Accelerator in Columbus - $100k available in funding

Join us February 15th at 4:30pm at Qwirk (http://qwirkcolumbus.com/) as a new Informatics-based accelerator, UpTech (uptechideas.org (http://uptechideas.org/)) located in the Cincinnati-area, will be introducing their accelerator and looking for applicants. A short presentation by UpTech will be followed by some networking and an open forum to ask questions. They are looking to find the best and brightest Informatics startups in the world right here in Columbus.

The UpTech business accelerator program is located in the Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky area. UpTech is a non-profit corporation affiliated with Northern Kentucky University and several economic development agencies in the Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky area. Our goal is to attract entrepreneurs from all over the US and the world who have a Big Idea – to nurture and help grow that idea, and to have those companies and entrepreneurs take root in our community.

UpTech is a Big Idea that like other big ideas idea grew out of the efforts of a small working team of economic developers, faculty and staff of NKU and social entrepreneurs called The Big Idea team. Our idea is simple and big – Ideas attract talent, talent attracts money and money attracts ideas, Build a supporting business, social and cultural network around that idea to drive transformative economic growth.

Our goal is to be the worlds best Business Accelerator program – Period.

We're looking for any informatics companies comprised of driven entrepreneurs that will be able to reach significant milestones (e.g. a working version for customer feedback, early customer acquisition, next stage funding) during their time at the UpTech program. No company is at a too early of a stage to apply. We will accept companies with big ideas still in the ideation phase of development. Nor is any company too late – we will accept companies into our program with paying customers. We will accept any company we feel would benefit from the acceleration in growth and development.
