HiHi I am coach Philip, full time tennis coach & fitness instrutor

8 years coaching experienced

6 regular tennis classes

group training NTRP minimum 4.0-5.0 plus at (Tai Koo only )

Hv 2-3 regular players join this session

6 Regular classes training schedule

---Time: 8-10pm

---Address: Quarry Bay Park Tennis court only

Class 1 : Mon NTRP 4.5-5.0...advanced ,some players join 2-5years

Class 2 :Tue NTRP 4.0 higher intermediate , training to be advance

Class 3 :Thur NTRP 4.5-5.0 advanced, similar Mon some guys join twice a week

Class 4: Fri NTRP 4.5 plus advanced training with 2 good junior players, good ground stroke but weakness serve( 1 adult player , 1 junior higher HK ranking no:2 under 12)

Class 5: Sat 9-11am 4.0-4.5

Class 6:Sat 6-8pm 3.5-4.0 maximum

*****Modern Tennis Methodology *****Spinish drills

For NTRP: at least minimum 4.0or 5.0

We will cover the following areas with 20-30 mins game drills:

Forehand & Backhand----

  • strong based .....good lock in & take back more important = talented

  • diffirent Forehand take back analysis .....lock in......loading .... Explosive

  • Stroke correction: swing smooth and generation maximum power .....biomechanics & kinetic chain (hip,core and shoulder rotation )

  • energy transfer :Lower body -low to high , upper body left hand to right hand (righty player)

  • loading stage and leg drive according on coming ball speed =Rhythm

  • straight arm forehand :Nadal and Roger style

  • double bent forehand :Novak and Andy style

  • Muscle memory Vs repetition training ---frequency

  • powerful & aggressive topin forehand with hip rotation & vertical power

*CG more forward and body weight transfer into the ball

  • racket head speed acceleration training frequency muscle memory training

  • reverse and short swing forehand passing shot

eg: in-side in & in-side out forehand .....body- weigh transfer, jumping (leg drive ) and landing skill

  • forehand& backhand running shot and small angle

*diffirent kind of backhand (grip) RF BH slice compare with normal slice

  • walking ,hopping & pivot step with modern recovery footwork

Volley -----

  • volleys drill eg: low or high ...drop or punch, transition& punch

  • shot selection : defence zone( more vertical power& position energy ) rally zone & attact zone (more angular & liner power ) Secret: centre gravity go forward or backward

  • forehand secret : (Elastic energy )Tap the dog and forearm rotation: before contact after contact = follow through

  • forehand slice and topsin lop style ,drop shot

Serve

*power serve with hip drive ,pronation & stance.....shoulder rotation

different kind of serve ....basic serve motion skill more important

Liner,angular momentum & position energy in serve

  • Singel & doubles tatic training

*Australian doubles tactic

  • hit the ball higher then shoulder level or lower then knee level

  • cross court more important :between NTRP 4.0-5.0 match

****Sport science revision ****

  • biometric,core muscle and footwork training ( agility drill footwork training & resistance training )

  • biomechanics: elastic, Axle kinetic and position energy ---Liner and angular momentum in tennis

  • perfect Flexibility & power = No:1 ...... like Stephen Curry , Novak ,Senena Williams

Small group size coaching: maximum of 3-4 players excluding myself

Coaching fee of HK $380 for two hours sessions per person
