What we’re about

London Text Analytics (LTA) is a forum for users, developers and anyone interested in natural language processing (NLP) and text analysis technologies and applications. Our London based meetings provide opportunities to hear about current projects and research and to see applications as they are being developed. There’s also the chance to network and share ideas over pizza and beer.

LTA promotes discussion of new approaches, emerging technologies, research techniques and best practices for the management, processing, analysis, and visualization of natural language text in all formats. Past topics have included: machine learning, computational linguistics, text analytics, speech-to-text processing, conversational systems, sentiment analysis, search and applications in finance, customer experience, social media, health data sciences, and more.

We also work in collaboration with other NLP and ML meetup groups to bring our members additional events some of which may be on-line.

We want to be relevant to our community so please don't hesitate to contact the organisers with an idea for a talk you want to give, something you want to hear about at one of our meetups, or ideas for collaborating with others.

Values / Code of Conduct

LTA values the participation of each member of our community and wants all attendees to have an enjoyable and fulfilling experience. Accordingly, all attendees are expected to show respect and courtesy to other attendees throughout all events regardless of sex, sexual orientation, ethnicity or beliefs. Basically this means behaving in a friendly manner to all attendees and presenters.

We support the ethical use of data.
