I found a Thai English Glossary for cooking! Cool!
    http://www.panix.com/~clay/cookbook/bin/eng-thai.cgi
I'm trying to make khao Mahk right now; here is the recipe: http://importfood.com/recipes/khaomahk.html In a couple of days I'll know if it worked.

I'll bring a print-out of my Thai keyboard on Saturday. If anyone wants to talk about Thai fonts or tech stuff about typing Thai, please do!

The khao Mahk is going along well, in fact, it is doing so well with a sweet, fragrant, alcohol-y smell that I started a second batch!

    Here is another cool site:

It is much easier than typing on my Thai keyboard. There is the whole alphabet for you, and if you mouse to the blank space at the top, you can click letters and they'll print out in your space to put text!

but seriously, that does look good, if you're going to go virtual, no shifting needed and easy to find the letters you are looking for

I just put a Thai onscreen keyboard on my computer! Yay! I chose "Thai Kedmanee". The other option was "Thai Pattachote" . Can anyone tell me what the difference is?

    October 28, 2012

    • gaelee

I know that Kedmanee is the common one. I have an external Thai keyboard and it is kedmanee layout. I am no expert on this but I read on ThaiVisa.com that the Kedmanee keyboard uses the right hand more than the left, and that the pattachote evens that out a bit.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
