Learn how to build a super-efficient aquaponic garden

http://photos2.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/4/b/0/c/event_95239212.jpegAt this 2 hour Meetup we will be going over the latest innovations in 150 gallon IBC aquaponic setups, like the one installed at Discovery Gardens. (See Randy Johnson's video of the system here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=b0t8-0IcnYc)). You will see how to make your own affordable and productive aquaponic system, and how to keep it running smoothly with very little effort, water, or input costs. This is the simplest and best design I have come up with yet, and boy does it grow a lot of food!
Here's an image of a 150 gallon system that has matured. This is how you can grow the healthiest food imaginable, with almost NO effort, and VERY little water!
http://photos4.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/9/4/5/e/event_88657982.jpegThe 150 gallon system is easily expanded, and instructions for doing so will be discussed. Complete printed instructions on how to build the 150 gallon unit will be provided. Complete plumbing kits and all the parts that may be harder to find in small quantities will be available, so you can get going on your system without having to buy more than you need of anything.
IBC TOTES
A limited number of 275 gallon IBC totes will be available for purchase, $80 (picked up that day) and (depending on where you live) usually $90 delivered. Note that these totes were only used once with food-safe products! Complete aquaponic systems will also be available for purchase if you would like one that is already built, and of course you can get some advice and consulting on your aquaponic plans from the leading expert on aquaponics in the metroplex.
http://photos3.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/3/d/1/a/event_95235642.jpegThe same type of IBC containers used to build the aquaponics unit can also be used to collect rainwater, and the Texas Discovery Center's IBC tote rainwater collection system will also be on display at this Meetup so you can see how easy it is to collect and store this precious resource, which lately seems to fall every day but come summer... Oh, let's just not think about that yet!
Hope to see you there!
