This is a meetup for anyone interested in planning backcountry trips in the Sierra and other wilderness. It is a place to find buddies, post trips, get info and share stories.
Summer is over and Fall is drawing to a close. It's time to get the skis waxed and pull the cold weather gear out of the closet. Get prepared for winter camping, x-country skiing, snow shoeing and maybe some backcountry skiing.

“I do 10 backpacking trips a year. This MLK weekend will be our 14 annual snow camping trip in the Sierra's. It has evolved from making igloos and digging snow caves to going to backcountry cabins. I'm hoping to take another group to the cabin on 1-31” -
