How to buy a used vehicle

Ideal would be to take the "I know my car" course first if you are able but it isnt a prerequisite

This meetup will explain how to buy a used car without getting a mechanic to inspect it and without getting any surprises that you cant handle.

Knowing what to watch for is very important if you want to make a good deal.

we will cover

Websites and searches

tests and tricks for knowing if a vehicle has been cared for

What to watch out for when buying

How do people lie and what behaviours to watch for

When to walk and when to run

On arrival you should have the needs you are buying the vehicle What you plan over the next five years for the vehicle.

Maybe children

Job out of town

What businesses you are starting now

Trailers,campers,boats, dogs, etc

I had a lot of information to pass on and I need to get the feel of what people need to know in order to stream line and target the audience. I think this was an excellent trial run. I can see what I can do better for next time. For example several took a bus or road bikes and gosh,I never thought of that. Maybe a can do it at a train station next time. Thanks to everyone who attended. It was a blast

What kind of vehicles are we thinking of buying? Do you have an idea? I will base this course on a purchase for $5000 at the top end. These tips I give apply to any used vehicle at any price range. I pick $5000 because it is the number that I have found to be good.

I am planning to run this right after the "I know my car". It would be good to take them both events. There is just too much information to give in one sitting and it will be exhausting.....

I don't have a vehicle in mind right now, I am doing this for the future.
