They are also much more likely to involve player direct interaction such as combat and the ability to put a wrench in the enemy's plans. In most ameritrash games "the enemy" is the other players but there are co-ops where players fight a common enemy.   Examples of ameritrash games would be arkham horror (or anything created by Richard launius), nuclear war and diplomacy.
