Y'all, wanted to let you in on a little activity going down tomorrow
(Saturday, April 12th). For those of you on Facebook, go to:
For everyone else, here are the details:
Friends of liberty,
I wanted to pass some info your way about the Thomas Jefferson Dance
Party going down this Saturday night.
Objective: To pay tribute to Thomas "My Homeboy" Jefferson, the
individual who so eloquently and steadfastly defended the right of
individuals to be free from the shackles of coercion. This can be seen
in some of his thought-provoking quotes, such as:
"Nothing is unchangeable but the inherent and unalienable rights of man."
"When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the
government fears the people, there is liberty."
"The price of freedom is eternal vigilance."
"I have sworn upon the alter of God, eternal hostility against every
form of tyranny over the mind of man."
Tactics: We will be dispersed at the Memorial, blending in with
tourists. It's likely we won't know who exactly will be taking part in
the dance party until 11:55PM (sharp!), at which point the dance party
will spontaneously erupt in front of Jefferson's statue, catching
tourists, National Park Service staff, and others, off-guard. We'll
rock out (via iPods or similar devices) for approximately 10min then
commence our tactical retreat.
Logistics: The closest Metro stop is Smithsonian, which is .8 miles
away from the TJ Memorial. I have posted a map on the TJ Dance Party
Group's Photo area that shows walking directions.
