Hey Everyone,
Join us on part one of a three part weekend hiking series!
This is a bitchen hike!
We’ll do a big loop through the rolling hills, grasslands and creeksides of Palo Comado and Chesebro canyons. Passing through unual sandstone formations, tree-lined passes and rolling hills, we'll take in all the beauty of this open space in the northern part of the SM mountains. With a heartpumping climb towards the end, this hike is guaranteed to get your endorphins going!
We'll be doing this hike at a moderate pace. Recommended for fit beginners as well as the more seasoned hiker. Doggies are allowed on this one as long as they're watered, well behaved and picked up after.
DISTANCE: approx. 7 miles
ELEV GAIN/LOSS: approx. 700 ft.
DURATION: approx. 3 hours
DIRECTIONS:From 101 Fwy heading south towards L.A., exit Kanan Rd. and turn left going over the freeway. Drive about 2 1/4 miles to Sunnycrest Dr and turn Right. Continue about 3/4 of a mile and Sunnycrest Drive changes to Doubltree Rd. Plenty of street parking. Look for the “Public Open Space" sign.
