BUT THERE IS ONE TRAIL WE CAN DO THAT IS NOT CLOSED, AND THAT'S THE BOTANIC GARDENS AND TARANTULA HILL IN THOUSAND OAKS, SO THAT'S WHERE WE'RE GOING YAY! http://img2.meetupstatic.com/1723755200050492932723/img/smileys/biggrin.gif

FIRST PART OF THE HIKE:BOTANIC GARDEN TRAIL We'll be doing a counter clockwise route through the botanic gardens and take in all the beauty of the flowering plants and trees.

Distance: approx 1.25 miles

Elevation gain/loss 150 ft.

SECOND PART OF THE HIKE:TARANTULA HILL This is the second part of our suburban hike and it will get your hearts pumping as we make our way up a paved road to the highest point in the Conejo Valley. This is where we'll enjoy our snacks.

Distance: approx. 1 mile

Elevation gain/loss 253 ft.

We'll finish our hike back at the park for a total round trip of approx. 3.25 miles

GREAT FOR FIT BEGINNERS AS WELL AS THE MORE SEASONED HIKER! YAY!
