HOWL AT THE MOON NIGHT HIKE

Details
Hey Everyone,
Let's do a hike in the dark and have the almost full moon guide us along the trail! We'll be doing a counterclockwise loop on the Los Robles/Los Padres trails.
Starting off at the Greenmeadow trailhead, weโll start the hike with a short walk through a beautiful oak grove on the Oak Creek Canyon trail. That will connect to the Los Robles trail and a steady climb to the top of the ridge (approx. 500 ft.) with gorgeous views of the Conejo Valley. At the top, let's share some wine and take in all the beauty.
Then weโll descend to the Los Padres trail and meander through another beautiful oak grove, then on surface streets as we head back to the parking lot/picnic area.
Weโll be doing some of this hike in the dusk/dark but the bright moon can guide us back down. Bring a headlamp or flash light if desired.
Have the usual lugsoles, plenty of water, etc.
DISTANCE: approx 4 miles
ELEV GAIN/LOSS: approx 500 ft.
DURATION: approx 3 hours
BRING SOME WINE OR OTHER BEVERAGE TO SHARE AND YOUR OWN CUP OR GLASS
DO NOT GO TO THE TRAILHEAD AT THE END OF MOORPARK ROAD. WE'RE MEETING AT THE GREENMEADOW TRAILHEAD (SEE BELOW)
DIRECTIONS: From the 101 freeway heading north into Thousand Oaks, exit at Moorpark Road and turn left, going under the freeway. Drive to the end of the road and turn right on Greenmeadow. Continue on going around the oak tree in the middle of the road and up to the parking lot. We'll meet in the parking lot at the Greenmeadow trailhead.
