WORK WEEK BLUES CHASER

Hey Everyone,

Let's shake off those work week blues with a fantastic hike!

We'll be hiking up three different hills in Thousand Oaks that offer sweeping views of the Conejo Valley!

The first part of the hike starts off with a short climb to the top of Fireworks hill. Then we'll make our way through the lush gardens of the Thousand Oaks botanic gardens as the second section. Lastly, we'll make our way to the top of Tarantula Hill, a paved road with a short, but good butt-kicking climb. ELEV GAIN/LOSS: approx 800 ft.

DISTANCE: 3.3 Miles

DURATION: 2 hours

This hike is suitable for fit beginners as well as the more seasoned hiker.

DIRECTIONS: From the 101 fwy in Thousand Oaks heading north towards Ventura, exit Moorpark Road and turn right. Turn left on Gainsborough, then left on Henrix. Park entrance is at the intersection of Dover and Hendrix.
