ANNUAL THANKSGIVING DAY HIKE *FULL*

Hey Everyone,

It's time to do another Thanksgiving hike... or, um, turkey trot... gobble, gobble, goddamn gobble!

Okay, I'm actually really looking forward to this hike, as I do every year, because we always get a good group of you regular MHers, along with a few new members that join after seeing the event posted here on Meetup, so it's always a great mix of people who have one thing in common: having nothing better to do on Thanksgiving morning except get in a hike so we can stuff our faces later.

I'm doing the good 'ol standby Los Robles trail because of its proximity, length, and perfect views of the Connayo-rhymes-with-mayo valley. Plus, it's a decent work out, which is the whole point on TG Day!

Turkey, pilgrim and indian costumes optional but encouraged, only so I can get in a good laugh (yes, you can dress up as Santa if that's all you got).

Okay no, it's not of the actual hike itself, as you can see, just a photo of yours truly (what happened to my goddamn tan?) but believe me when I say it was a GREAT hike, lots of people! I think there were about 50 of us... sheesh!

Distance: 5 miles

Duration: hmm, maybe a couple hours.

Elev. gain/loss: approx. 500 ft.

DO NOT GO TO THE TRAILHEAD AT THE END OF MOORPARK ROAD. WE'RE MEETING AT THE GREENMEADOW TRAILHEAD

DIRECTIONS: From the 101 freeway heading north into Thousand Oaks, exit at Moorpark Road and turn left, going under the freeway. Drive to the end of the road and turn right on Greenmeadow. Continue up to the parking lot. We'll meet in the lot at the Greenmeadow trailhead.
