FRIDAY NIGHT FULL MOON PARTY HIKE TO SADDLE PEAK

Well the votes are in from the polls and it looks like Saddle Peak is the winner. Although we did this trail recently, it's such a perfect place to have our party! Be prepared to have fantastic views of the moon rising over the Santa Monica basin and the Pacific ocean. Elevation gain/loss 950'
Duration: It's a party, there's no hurry!
Terrain: Obvious routes and marked trails on packed earth
Suitable for fit beginners as well as the seasoned hiker.

Party beverages are highly recommended and of course, bring what you love to eat and share! Homemade is always appreciated. Please post what you’re bringing in the “Talk About This Meetup” section so we all know what to expect. We'll be packing in our goodies to share at the top.

We’ll be doing some of this hike in the dusk/dark. Bring a headlamp or flash light if desired. Have the usual lugsoles, water, etc. I suggest wearing layers.

DIRECTIONS: From the 101 Freeway exit Las Virgenes Rd. heading south towards Malibu. Make a left turn on Mulholland Highway and go about 4 miles to Stunt Rd and turn right. Take Stunt Rd. exactly 2.9 miles where you'll see a turnout on the left hand side where I'll be waiting. This is across the street from the trailhead and where we'll meet. Parking is limited here but there is a larger parking turnout nearby at miler marker 3. Carpooling is recommended.
