MID-WEEK BLUES CHASER POTLUCK

Hey Everyone,

Let's bust out a quick mid-week hike to Angel Vista in Newbury Park. This is an out and back slight butt-kicker with rewarding views at the top of the entire Conejo Valley and beyond. I would rate this hike as intermediate because of the continuous climb to the top but because it's a short one, fit beginners will do just fine.

Distance: approx. 3 miles

Terrain: varying wide and single track packed earth with some rocky parts

Elev. gain/loss: approx. 700 ft.

Duration: approx. 2 hours

Feeling good afterwards: priceless!

We'll be doing some of the hike in the dark so I suggest bringing headlamps for the hike back down and wear layers in case it's chilly.

DIRECTIONS: From the 101 in Thousand Oaks heading north towards Ventura, exit Ventu Park Rd. and turn left, going over the freeway. Turn right onto Lynn Road, drive one hundred feet or so and turn right into the parking lot on your right next to the park.
