MID-WEEK BLUES CHASER AND POTLUCK

Details
Hey Everyone,
Let's try this one again!
We'll bust out a quick mid-week hike to Angel Vista in Newbury Park. This is an out and back slight butt-kicker with rewarding views at the top of the entire Conejo Valley and beyond. I would rate this hike as intermediate because of the continuous climb to the top but because it's a short one, fit beginners will do just fine.
Distance: approx. 3 miles
Terrain: varying wide and single track packed earth with some rocky parts
Elev. gain/loss: approx. 800 ft.
Duration: approx. 2 hours
Feeling good afterwards: priceless!
We'll be doing some of the hike in the dark/dusk so I suggest bringing headlamps for the hike back down and wear layers 'cause it got chilly last week as soon as the sun set! Bring your favorite food/beverage to share at the top.
DIRECTIONS: From the 101 in Thousand Oaks heading north towards Ventura, exit Ventu Park Road and turn left, going over the freeway. Turn right onto Lynn Road, drive one hundred feet or so and turn right into the parking lot on Susan Drive, right after the sign for the Stagecoach Museum next to the park.
