TOWSLEY CANYON REDUX

Details

Hey Everyone,

Let's try this one again.

Come join us for a six and a half mile loop hike in Towsley Canyon, which has amazing scenery that changes with every bend of the trail. Wildflowers should be plentiful and the hills will be that pretty spring green we wait all year for! We'll grab a bite to eat afterwards at a place to be determined.

"This hike has an amazing variety of sites and smells including strange geologic formations, frothy streambeds, tar pits and many different plant communities."

Don't miss this spectacular hike! YAY! http://img2.meetupstatic.com/1723755200050492932723/img/smileys/biggrin.gif

Distance: 6.5 miles approx.

Duration: 3.5 hours not including lunch afterwards.

Elev. gain/loss: 1600 ft.

Trail: varying packed earth, rocky parts and stream crossings.

I would rate this hike as intermediate but we'll be going at a moderate pace so if you've been hiking and know your ability, a fit beginner would do just fine.

Please have the usual lugsoles, hat, proper clothing/protection, water, water, water!

We'll be leaving promptly so don't be late, we won't wait!

LET'S CARPOOL! MAKE ARRANGEMENTS IN THE COMMENTS SECTION.
