Hey Everyone,
HIKE IS THIS MONDAY THE 20TH.
Let's bust out a nice 4 miler to chase away the Monday blues. We'll start out on the Albertson motorway and climb up to the ridge of Long Canyon to take in spectacular views. There is a slight butt kicker portion on the way up, but we'll be going at a moderate pace. Part of this hike will be done in the dark/dusk.
Suitable for fit beginners as well as the more seasoned hiker. Not recommended for the novice hiker.

Distance: 4 miles
Elev gain/loss 700 ft.
Duration: approx. 1.5 hours
Trail: wide fire road
Feeling golden afterwards: priceless!
DIRECTIONS:
From Thousand Oaks/Ventura heading north on the 23 freeway exit Ave De Los Arboles and turn right. Drive to Westlake Blvd and turn right. Make your first left onto Lang Ranch Parkway and drive to the end of the street before it makes a sharp left. Trailhead is on the right. Street park.
From Los Angeles/Calabasas/Westlake heading north on the 101, exit Westlake Blvd, turn right and drive approx 4 miles to Lang Ranch Parkway and turn right. Drive to the end of the road before it makes a sharp left and park on the street.
