WINE AND CHEESE SUNDOWNER

Hey Everyone,

Let's bust out a slight butt-kicker to the top of Angel Vista where we'll enjoy expansive views of the Conejo Valley and beyond. We can enjoy our wine, cheese and other snacks as we watch the sun dip down behind the mountains.

We'll be hiking in our goodies to share at the top so bring your backpacks. I suggest cheese 'n crackers, dried fruit and nuts, dark chocolate covered anything (Trader Joe's has a great selection), good 'ol hummus as long as there is only one person bringing it so we don't end up with eight tubs of the stuff! http://img2.meetupstatic.com/1723755200050492932723/img/smileys/biggrin.gif and anything that would go good with wine!

DISTANCE: 3 miles out and back

ELEV. GAIN: approx 800 ft.

TRAIL: varying wide and single track packed earth with some rocky parts

We'll be doing some of the hike in the dark/dusk so I suggest bringing headlamps for the hike back down. I suggest you wear layers in case it gets chilly as the sun sets. Bring your favorite food/beverage to share.

DIRECTIONS: From the 101 in Thousand Oaks heading north towards Ventura, exit Ventu Park Road and turn left, going over the freeway. Turn right onto Lynn Road, drive one hundred feet or so and turn right into the parking lot on Susan Drive.
