Let's climb a giant lizard and seek out the indians on this scenic hike in Wildwood Park in Thousand Oaks. We'll take the Mesa trail out to Lizard Rock which overlooks Hill Canyon and beyond, then drop down into Wildwood Canyon to the waterfall. We'll make our way back up to the trailhead by way of the Indian Spring Trail. This is a counter clockwise loop hike.
DISTANCE: approx. 4 miles
ELEV. GAIN/LOSS: approx. 500 ft.
DURATION: 2 hours
TRAIL: varying wide trail and single track packed earth
This hike is suitable for fit beginners as well as the more seasoned hiker. Dogs are allowed on this one as long as they're well behaved and picked up after.
From the 101 freeway in Thousand Oaks, heading north towards Ventura, exit Lynn Road and turn right. Drive approx. 2 miles to Ave. De Los Arboles and turn left. Drive to the end of the road and the parking lot is on your left. Meet at the kiosk at the trailhead.
