MID-WEEK BLUES CHASER AND POTLUCK

Hey Everyone,

Let's chase the work-week blues away this Wednesday with a short hike and potluck! The weather is supposed to be warm and beautiful, perfect autumn hiking weather!

We'll hike to the top of Angel Vista in Newbury Park to watch the sunset while enjoying our goodies! We'll be packing in our food/beverages to share at the top so please bring your favorites. Please remember food safety while preparing and transporting your food. Most of this hike will be done in the dusk/dark so bring a headlamp or flashlight. It's supposed to be warm, but I suggest bringing a light jacket in case it gets chilly at the top.

Distance: 3 miles, out and back

Duration: approx. 2 hours

Trail: well marked, single track

This hike is suitable for fit beginners as well as the more seasoned hiker.

DIRECTIONS: From Thousand Oaks heading north on the 101 fwy, exit Ventu Park Road and turn left, going over the freeway. Turn right on Lynn Rd., go 100 yards and turn right into the parking lot next to the park, Susan Dr. Don't be late, we won't wait.
