THANKSGIVING HIKE YAY!

Hey Everyone,

Let's do a great work out hike for Thanksgiving and be grateful for having the legs and feet to take us to the top! Yay!

Come join us on a hike to China Flat from Lang Ranch in Thousand Oaks. This hike starts at the Lang Ranch Parkway entrance and follows the wide Albertson Motorway to China Flat, with spectacular views of Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks. This trail has a moderately steep climb most of the way, so it will be challenging to beginners, but not discouraged. I suggest you bring a friend and map (below) along if you want to go at a slow pace. Fit beginners as well as the more seasoned hiker will enjoy this hike at our usual moderate pace. Have the usual lugsoles, plenty of water, sunglasses, hat, etc.

DISTANCE: 5.5 miles (approx.)

DURATION: about 3 hours

TRAIL: Wide fire roads

DIRECTIONS: From Westlake taking the 101 fwy heading towards Ventura, exit at Westlake Blvd and turn right. Go approx. 4 miles and turn right on Lang Ranch Parkway. Drive to the end of the street and park. From the 23 freeway heading north, exit Ave. De Los Arboles and turn right. Drive to the end of Arboles, turn right and make your first left onto Lang Ranch Pkwy. Drive to the end of the street.

The trailhead is on the right, just before Lang Ranch Parkway makes a sharp left turn. There is plenty of parking on the street.
