THE HIKE IS STILL ON! We're just going to a different location. We'll do Sycamore Canyon in Rancho Sierra Vista in Newbury Park. Same amount of miles, but this one has a smaller elevation gain. However, at the end of the hike, there is a nice little butt-kicker hill that's sure to get your hearts pumping! This hike is an out and back on paved road.

This hike is suitable for fit beginners as well as the more seasoned hiker. Dogs are allowed on this one too!

DISTANCE: 5 miles

ELEV GAIN/LOSS: 200 ft.

DURATION: 2 hours approx.

From the 101 freeway heading north towards Ventura, exit Wendy Drive and turn left going over the freeway. Turn right on Borchard Road, then left on Reino Road. Drive to Lynn Road and turn right. Go about a mile and turn left on Via Goleta into the park entrance. Drive to the very end of the road where the parking lot meets the trailhead.
