Welcome fellow thrifters!

In this tough economy, we have to do what is necessary to cut down on expenses. So, I have decided to start The Original Thrift Store Shoppers' Group because I believe thrift store shopping is a great way to buy what you want and pay less.

The main purpose of this group is to explore different thrift store venues. We schedule group trips (car pooling optional) to partake in various thrift stores, flea markets, estate, and yard sales. We generally go to several stores in the same area within a day. We even collaborate and have our own group garage sales as well.

Members can even post items they want or items they are selling to this site for others to view.

Our shopping events are in most counties within the 285 perimeter and some points beyond; however, we are open to schedule trips out of state if members wish to do so.

A key component of this group will be the wealth of information from members regarding various thrift store, flea markets, and estate sale. Members will also have the ability to post reviews and photographs of great items found.

Because Meetup charges a monthly fee to start and maintain a page, our members are charged an annual fee; however, in keeping with the theme of "paying less", THE FEE is only $.99 CENTS PER YEAR! This should cover the cost incurred to start and maintain this meet up while bringing a valued service to the Thrift Shopper's Community.
