Greetings to Everyone,

I'm sending out acknowledgement, as this time of year can be the most difficult time. For so many, the "holidays" bring anxiety and depression, feelings of isolation and longing, loneliness and lacking belonging.

Although these days we may not be sharing a meal or an afternoon brunch, coffee nearby, or some big/little out/homemade feast, we are all very connected spirits, with wishes and desires, and wide ranging emotions.

I'll put this out there: We are all valuable unique individuals, capable and worthy of love and being loved, a rollercoaster of living emotions, and a great source of energy and inspiration.

To meet up face to face is a great thing, meeting friends new and old is important. We are social creatures.

I've always believed that if you build it, they will come, and Mauraan wrote just that. I look forward to your invitation to gather folks, and hope my crazy schedule will allow my being present to meet some new faces.

Peace & Light,

J.Steve

p.s. I concur with Mark that GPiS (Gay People in Seattle) is a good meeting opportunity. It's name-tag space, so new folks and familiar folks meet up a little easier than just being a new face in the crowd. As with all meetups in Seattle, you do have to be a tad out going, approaching folks to make introductions. Some will approach, but in Seattle folks tend to be more shy than not.
