About the event: Organizers of lakeaplooza will be taking over an Island on Lake Lanier and having a Pre-Independence party with Live bands and fireworks.

8-10 bands playing on Saturday. Camping Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Lasers and fireworks on the island. This is going to be one heckuva party you don't want to miss.

I plan to be there both Saturday and Sunday with camping at the island on Saturday. You can pay for all the boating/tubing fun (limited to 4 paid guests/day) or just for transport to island for the concert and festivities till 4.30pm on Sunday. Our Meetup fees start at $5 that covers only what is specified below. Other charges may apply. Check the event page for details.

Sunday afternoon plan - 11.45am to 12.00pm Meet n Greet. 12.00pm Enjoy boating, tubing, partying, listen to concert, partake in the festivities, play games, some more boating, before returning to cars. Donation of $35 or less (if boating both days) to cover gas and maintenance. Indicate in your RSVP if you want both days and/or camping. If you only want Saturday then sign up for 6/26 meetup.

Day trip to Lakeaplooza - $5 for one way boat ride and hangout with the 35UP group. Event organizer's option is the same for $5 one way but off of Aqualand marina plus the parking fees. Checkout their website for details:

Directions: Plan-A From I-285, take GA-400 North exit-27 and drive 29.5 mi, exit-17 Keith Bridge rd turn Right & drive 1mi, turn Right on Browns bridge rd and drive 4.8mi, turn Right on Bethel rd and drive 2.5 miles to boat ramp and parking on right. Please use your best judgment and lookout for each other. We are not a business but a social group of like minded people that get together to have fun. Waiver needs to be signed at begining of event in order to attend. Let?s keep it safe.

Potluck: I?ll provide individual serving chips, cookies, nuts, & trail mix. Extra charge for medium/large coolers. No glass or breakables & please clean up after yourself.

So far they have 6 bands playing and plan to have 10 for all day music and fun games for everybody. They are asking for a $20 dollar donation to cover the cost for boat transport and various other expenses. If you don't have $20 that's alright any donation is welcome.
