Like to have a friend show you around the sport of horse racing? Interested in receiving all the perks as if you owned your own race horse? If you are in the So Cal area come on out and see for yourself what is so exciting about the Sport of Kings. We're a program designed to help new fans get into the game and/or to give participants an unique experience as if they were a thoroughbred owner.
We're now locating to Santa Anita for the Oak Tree meet.

10:20 Arrival at Santa Anita Park via gate 8 off Baldwin Ave.
10:30 Meet in front of main security gate to enter the barn area. The gate is on your left just before driving over the dirt horse crossing into the parking lot. I will be wearing a red and black jockey's cap or an NTRA Ambassador Program t-shirt for easy identification.
10:40 Barn viewing with Q&A.
11:30 Newcomers seminar or lunch break.
12:20 Re-grouping at the paddock garden fountain.
12:30 Watch first race from paddock.
12:35 Paddock tour for 2nd race.
1:05 Paddock tour for 3rd race (as necessary depending on group size).
After you have had your paddock tour you are welcome to spend the remainder of the afternoon however you wish. I will be available for questions or to provide personal assistance throughout the afternoon at the seating arrangements if you have wagering or horse racing questions, or just want to shoot the breeze about the sport.
Directions
Santa Anita Park is located in Arcadia, California, 14 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles. The racetrack property is bounded by Baldwin Avenue and Huntington Drive and is adjacent to the Westfield mall.
Major freeways giving access to Santa Anita are the Foothill Freeway (I-210) to the north, San Bernardino Freeway (I-10) to the south, the San Gabriel River (I-605) to the east and the Pasadena (110) and Glendale (2) Freeways on the west.

Parking
Please park in the clocker's corner parking lot. Let the gate guard know you are with the Ambassador Program. Gate 8 is off of Baldwin Ave just north of the shopping center. Gate 8 is the only public gate on the western side of the track. After turning off Baldwin you will drive for approximately 1500 feet before reaching a Y in the road. Take the left arm which will head north-east to get to the clocker's corner parking. Let the gate guard know that you are with the Ambassador Program.
