Will give my spot to 1 of 2 waiting in order to do 20 miles in the Mc Dowell's with Grand Canyon hikers so we can "bond." heee hee hee. Will be back to get ready for 7 Summits and hike with my beloved hike leader, Brenda, and comrades soon. I am jealous. Have fun, guys and gals.

A very hard choice actually. I think my 20 this weekend is relatively flat to get the distance endurance and work on speed. Mike, 17 times in the Grand Canyon, um, I have been truly slacking.

I have surveyed the different options for un happiness, and it is this hike.
There is over 1,500 feet of climbing in 1 1/2 hr.
The little used backside of North mountain climbs 700 feet in less than 20 minutes.... That's a lot of squats.

If my feet are OK after running a 50K trail race on the Pemberton Trail starting at 6 PM on the 21st (and finishing around 2 AM or so on the 22nd) I will be there.
