About TOG. . . . Tennis on the go WPB

Welcome Tennis Lovers, tennis junkies, even tennis addicts no matter how you refer to your self:

This site has been created to help local tennis players identify playing partners, and to set up local tennis meetups for practice and serious games of singles, doubles, and mix doubles at tennis courts and times that are mutually compatible.

By joining this group you are saying to everyone else who's a member: I want to play tennis, so contact me if you play nearby or are of a similar level. All members should make every effort to contact other members to set up tennis meetups as long as you feel comfortable meeting and playing that member. How you determine if you want to play another member is up to you. Of course email is an ideal way to start the conversation, so here's your chance.
We encourage our Members to contact each other to set up informal practice sessions or serious tennis matches. If you're looking for someone to hit with, you can find local Tennis Players who play at your level on a tennis court near you -- singles, doubles, mix doubles. The key to making this meetup group successful is providing other members with a clear description of your Tennis Profile.
1) Your USTA Player Level Rating (if you're not sure, click on USTA Rating level link on the about us page below.
2) the tennis court locales (e.g., town , park, club) where you typically play, and how far you're willing to travel to meetup for a game,
3) the days and times when you like to play,
4) if possible, please provide a photograph. For this group to work, the Organizer highly recommends members provide this information on your Member Profile page.

PS: Coaches are not allowed to advertise their services on this site. Breaking this rule means you will be banned from our club.

The purpose of this meetup is to let people make new friends and to enjoy the game of Tennis regardless of skill level. For beginners, this is a great opportunity to know more about the sport and to improve your skills. If the interests are there, we can organize coaching lessons from qualified USPTA coaches. For more advanced players, this can help you take your game to the next level. And for expert players, hopefully we can have some competitive rallies!

The whole point of this meetup is to have fun but we hope everyone will adhere to an important rule. When you RSVP YES to one of our/event, please make a best effort attempt to show up. If you find that you cannot make it that day then please release your RSVP ahead of time so that other interested players can join. As organizers, we want to make sure that the number of players per court are not too many or too little so that everyone can get equal playing time. Thank you for your understanding on this matter.

We will have a free event once a month. If there are enough interests then we may organize more events. We are considering having these events at different location each month so that this meetup can accomodate people from different parts of town. That's why we want our members to participate in our polls, to determine where we should host the next events. Please visit our site at http://www.tennisonth....
Ultimately, if the meetup group works and we create a real tennis community, there will be many opportunities for us to get together as a group for tennis meetups at a local park, clubs, town or perhaps to view the Sony Ericsson next year.

Other than that, see you on the courts!!!
