[Important Information on RSVPs]
As always this event will be held at Google Japan Office @ Roppongi Hills Mori tower. For security reasons, you need to register your name in advance to enter the building.

• The sign-up starts from July 15th, Friday at noon (first come, first served).

• General admission is limited to 120 people. *The tickets are expected to be gone very quickly. Please be prepared...

• When you register, we ask you your name (you see the pop-up window). YOU MUST ENTER YOUR REAL FULL NAME AS IT APPEARS ON YOUR ID

• You cannot enter the building after 7:30pm

• Speech language - mainly EN some JP

Deep Learning technology cannot stand by itsself. Yes, we need Nvidia Platform to build on! Our second speaker is Mr. Takeshi Izaki, Senior Manager of Deep Learning Group, Nvidia.

ディープラーニングテクノロジーはそれ自体では成立できません。何が必要かって？そう、NVIDIA Platform！二人目のスピーカーはNVIDIAより、ディープラーニング部部長の井崎武士氏です！

Title: NVIDIA Deep Learning Platform and latest information

Abstract: Deep Learning has been evolved rapidly recent years. In particular it has started being utilized in various fields over the past year. Today’s Deep Learning solution relies almost exclusively on NVIDIA Deep Learning Plarform including GPU. In this session I will talk about overview of this platform and some latest information.

Since our (reactive's) article about Japanese handwriting recognition has been published here (http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-04-13/artificial-intelligence-s-next-phase-sooner-and-more-accessible-for-everyone) and there (https://bita.jp/dml/reactive_int), we have been receiving lots of responses and questions asking about the secret behind it! This time reactive's resident speakers will discuss the technology we use and how we solved the algorithmic problems.

Speaker: Reactive engineer Joe

Title: Character-Level Machine Translation with Bi-scale RNNs

Abstract: Word segmentation? めんどくさい. A recent neural machine translation technique produces quality translations one *character* at a time, using a new type of decoder which operates at two different time-scales. The paper experiments with various alphabetic language pairs, but Reactive has re-implemented the models for English-Japanese using TensorFlow.

Title: Bi-scale RNNを使った文字レベル機械翻訳

Abstract: 単語セグメンテーション？めんどくさい！最近のニューラルマシントランスレーションテクニックは一度に１”文字”ずつ質のいい翻訳を生み出すことができるんだ、異なる２つのタイムスケールをオペレートする新しい種類のデコーダを使ってね。それについて巷の論文はアルファベットを使用する様々な言語ペアについて実験しているけどReactiveは今回、そのモデルをTensorFlowを使って英語-日本語で再インプリメントしたよ。

“In recent years Generative Adversarial Networks were shown to be one of the best generative models available. In this talk we will follow the development of this idea starting from the moment of its appearance in 2014, and up to the most recent state of the art results.”

近年、Generative Adversarial Networks が現在使うことのできるジェネレーティブモデルの中で最も良いもののひとつということが示されています。今回のプレゼンテーションでは、この考え方が2014年に出現した瞬間から、現在、"state of the art"な結果を生み出すまでの発展をたどります。
