Toledo Hikers Bikers Paddlers and other Adventurers

Do you love traveling and adventuring? But do budget constraints often get in the way of your travel plans? I've experienced that myself! And I found an alternative solution.
I love sharing my tips and tricks for making road trips more affordable (and more adventurous) by car camping! No tent required :) I have over 15 years of experience traveling this way (solo and as a couple), and I would love to inspire you to try it yourself.
This informal talk will cover a range of related topics, including:
* Why you should give it a try
* Key items to pack
* Road food ideas on the cheap
* Overnight parking suggestions
* Bodily necessities & hygiene
* Online resources and groups (there is a growing community around car camping!)
* Tested tips & tricks to make it all easier

Come with questions! I won't have all the answers, but we can brainstorm as a group too.

The location is the Locke branch library (on the "east side") - about half way in between International Park and the Miami St exit for I-75.

Lace up your hiking boots for an adventure through the beautiful and diverse habitats of Oak Openings Preserve Metropark.

Please pack a lunch and bring a filled water bottle (there will be an opportunity to refill). The focus of these hikes will be exercise, but we'll make occasional nature stops.
