The Great Circumnavigation Adventure!!!

Details

Ok, who's up for the Great Circumnavigation Adventure?

What have Steve_YYZ and Richard (Pit Bull) Shamy got planned for the September 10/11 weekend adventure? Well how about 800 kilometers over two days and a complete circumnavigation of Lake Ontario! We'll even throw in two ferry rides just to complete the fun.

Yup, we'll start off early Saturday morning heading east on some great roads down to Kingston where we'll grab the first ferry over to Wolfe Island. Then the second ferry to New York State and some great lakeside roads down to an overnight in Oswego New York. (You MUST have a Passport to enter the United States)

We'll overnight in Oswego New York at accommodations to be arranged by those going on this adventure. Lots of choices available from hotels, to Bed & Breakfast. Group decision. If two people share a room, we can get a great deal on price and I'll try for a group booking if possible.

Heading out again Sunday morning we'll follow the south shore of Lake Ontario until we end up back at Niagara Falls and re-enter Canada. A duty-free stop is planned! :o))

Now, while no highways are planned, we will be hitting speeds of 100 kph in places and it's a long trip so we're recommending nothing less than 200 cc scooters so folks can keep up. We're also going to limit this ride to 8 scooters total to try and make this a fun small group ride with a relaxed and casual atmosphere. There's some long runs across nice countryside so you should also plan on a minimum fuel range of 175 km between fillups.... just in case.

Because of the small group size, please don't RSVP unless you're pretty damn sure that you'll actually make the ride and remember, we'll have to at some point book our accommodations in advance.
Here's the links to the route in Google Maps. One going, one coming home.
