Hackfests are a chance for Javascript developers in Toronto to get together. The idea is to patch and release open source libraries, and help each other through tricky bugs. And spend time coding JavaScript.

Big Bang Technology will provide dinner, wireless, monitors, and comfortable chairs. We write code so bring a laptop and plan to have fun.

If I end up making it out, I'd probably be about an hour late.

Getting in tomorrow after 20 hours of travel; will likely be too addle-brained to attend. I mentioned an idea for a JS engine for text-based games to a few folks last time in idle conversation and they seemed interested, so I'll post more details before the next one and see if I can break out some semi-autonomous chunks of work that could be completed in the available timeframe.

As far, for meetup subjects, for next time.
I would enjoy doing something with this:
    - knockout.js - an MVVM framework for js
    - Reactive Extensions for JavaScript - a revolutionary way to work with async events
    - Javascript Map-Reduce for mongodb. What you guys think?

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
