Javascript Hack Night

Hackfests are a chance for Javascript developers in Toronto to get together. The idea is to patch and release open source libraries, and help each other through tricky bugs. And spend time coding JavaScript.

Big Bang Technology will provide dinner, wireless, monitors, and comfortable chairs. We write code so bring a laptop and plan to have fun.

i had not taken part in such an event before in spite of programming for 30 years so i was curious to see what would happen - hopefully get exposed to something new - which did happen - i learned about nodejs and played with it a bit at the event - met people with a range of javascript and programming backgrounds - it was worthwhile to go - it brought me into an area of the city i hadn't been in for awhile so it was interesting to see the changes in the area and the number of high tech companies in the area

I finally got a chance at attending, after RSVP'ing and bailing out at the last minute a couple of times. And I was pleased! I see great potential in churning out ideas + projects in the future.

Chris, thanks for that offer. That would have been awesome - hack talk there and back! Unfortunately, I can't make it :(
