Fun Events to do with your dog: hiking, parties, training classes, meditation, walks at parks, etc.
In each event connect with a Professional Dog Trainer, Johanna Teresi, with Four Legged Scholars LLC for dog training tips. All dog training is reward-based.
Johanna has been dog training since 1989 and values creating a trusting and fun relationship with dogs and owners.
You will learn basic commands such as creating your dog to hike better off leash, coming, leash walking, and much more! Clicker training will be discussed and is a fast way to train behaviors.
Some events will be full of laughter, games, and dog tricks. Parties are great to mingle with other dog owners.
Meditation and energy is a great way to form an awesome grounded connection with your dog. Learn how to connect with your dog in daily meditative and relaxing activities.
This is a great community to connect with other dog lovers and people who want to treat their dogs with love and respect.
As a reward-based trainer no chokers, prong, or shock collars are needed to create a loving, wonderful and obedient relationship.
**Events are for Friendly dogs and puppies only please.
Current Meetups:
Classes:
Classes last about an hour and go over different training topics such as leash walking, come, settle, stay, teaching your dog to pay attention, quiet, etc.
These classes are held in low distracting areas (generally indoors) so the dogs can learn easily.
Walks:
Walks generally last about 1.5 hours. There are training demos and mini private sessions.
These are best for dogs who pull on the leash, dogs who are great on the leash, well trained dogs and dogs who need training. These meetups are great for generalizing the commands to real life.
Mountain Hikes:
Hikes generally last 2-3 hours. There are training demos and mini private sessions.
These are best for dogs that are semi-good on the leash or off leash, dogs who are great on leash and off leash.
If your dog is a strong puller you will be asked to use a head collar or front hook harness so that your dog does not trip you over rocks.
Hikes are not best for dogs who are tough to control as the walk is long and usually up a mountain.
All the events are designed for socialization and / or training.
If you have not particpated in the survey please do so. If do not like surveys then drop me an e-mail with feedback.
