April 15th @6:30 "Let's Talk Recycling" at the East End Food Co-op

HI All,
This is the last message I will be sending as organizer of this meet-up. So far the cost/benefit just hasn't panned out, so I won't be paying the subscription again. I encourage anyone who wants to continue to work with this group, and try to have meet-ups along the New Urbanism/Smart Urbanism lines to go ahead and take over the meetup group and become organizer.

As a more cost effective way of organizing, we have created a Facebook group for interested people, it is called the Pittsburgh Advocates of Smart Urbanism and here is the link to the group:

With this group we are still organizing our monthly speaker series where we work to bring together members of the community with local green organizations and often a member of the city government for open dialogue and brainstorming sessions.

This month we will meet on April 15th at 6:30 in the Gemini Theater at the East End Food Co-op to talk about Recycling. We will welcome Anny Huang from CMU who will talk about the history of single use beverage bottles and the negative impact they have on the waste stream, and also Shawn Wigle the Recycling Supervisor from the City of Pittsburgh to talk about the city's program and what we can do to encourage more people to recycle.

We would love to see you there! Thanks all and please feel free to e-mail me at: [address removed] if you have any questions about the group and what we are doing, or if you are thinking about becoming the meetup organizer and have questions- please let me know.

Many thanks,
